Manchester Clubs Interested in Costa

Manchester United and Manchester City are tracking Shakhtar Donetsk's Brazilian midfielder Douglas Costa, according to his agent Cesar Bottega.
Douglas Costa, 20, has been attracting the attention of other European teams, with Arsenal reported to have made a bid to swap him for Denilson last month. However, with Shakhtar wanting only a cash offer in the region of £15 million, the shortlist for his services has been trimmed to three, with both Manchester clubs and Italian side Napoli keen.
"I have had some contacts with important teams in Italy, Spain and England. Manchester City and Manchester United have informed themselves [about the player]," Bottega told Goal.com. "There was an interest from Napoli after they qualified for the Champions League, but in the last few weeks I have not heard from anyone at Napoli."
The creative midfielder scored five goals in 27 games for the Ukrainian side last season and, if no bid arrives, will be happy to stay at the club.
"The player is happy in the Ukraine and he gets to play Champions League football with one of the most important teams in Europe," Bottega added, "but if an opportunity from an important league arrives then we will consider it."
Shakhtar are in no hurry to sell the player, as he has three years left on his current deal.
