Hospital Stay for Concussed Hernandez

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez spent much of Tuesday night in hospital after suffering mild concussion during a training session at Red Bull Arena.
The problem did not become apparent until United had finished their session in front of thousands of supporters but manager Sir Alex Ferguson and his medical team were sufficiently concerned to send Hernandez to hospital, where he remained under observation.
Hernandez, 23, who only joined up with his team-mates on Monday, has now been released, although he remained in the United team hotel in New Jersey whilst his team-mates departed for the fourth match of their five-game tour.
Hernandez was not scheduled to be involved in that match anyway but now will certainly not be involved.
The Mexican striker, who scored 20 goals last season, is expected to be out for around two weeks and will not feature against Barcelona in the concluding game of United's five-match tour in Washington on Saturday evening.
"He got concussion in training and we dealt with that," said Sir Alex Ferguson. "We took him to hospital, he had a scan, it was all clear.
"He is back in the hotel. He is in his room and will be out for a couple of weeks. He would never have been available for Barcelona anyway because he has just come back from his break after the Gold Cup.
"He will travel with us though. He is okay for that."
