Evra Confident of United Title Success

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra expects his side to win the Premier League this season, and points to the Red Devils' strength in depth as a decisive quality.

United beat Bolton 3-0 on Saturday to move level on points with leaders Manchester City, who have a game in hand against Wigan on Monday night.

City have set the pace for most of this season, with their 6-1 thrashing of United at Old Trafford a real statement of title intent, but Evra is confident Sir Alex Ferguson's men will have bragging rights, and a 20th championship crown, come May.

The France defender, who has been made captain in the absence of Nemanja Vidic, believes United's injured players - the likes of Ashley Young, Darren Fletcher, Tom Cleverley, Michael Owen - will make a big difference when they return.

"Everyone's coming back and in great form," Evra told MUTV. "We still have some injuries but I think when everyone is back fit, it will give us the strength to win the title.

"We have to keep talking about Manchester United. The most important thing was winning today. After that, it doesn't matter if they [City] win, lose or draw.

"We just need to have a rest and focus on the next game. I think people talk a lot about City, but we just need to be focused on what we do and how we play, and I think we're going to win the league."
