Nasri Refuses to Commit to Arsenal

Samir Nasri has suggested he may not sign a new deal with Arsenal in an interview on French television. Nasri, who is 24 later this month, will be out of contract at the end of next season and Arsenal will have no choice but to cash in on him before the end of August - or he will be able to leave on a free transfer. The France midfielder was linked with a move to Manchester United last month, and the player refused to rule out a move to one of Arsenal's key Premier League rivals.

Speaking to TF1's Telefoot ahead of France's game with Poland, Nasri said: "I don't know if I will sign a new contract. Anyway, the discussions are ongoing. For the moment, I don't think about this. We will speak about it after the match with Poland. ''Do I want to go to Man United? First, we should see if it's real and if it is concrete." Nasri was one of the star performers in the first half of last season but, like many players are Arsenal, suffered a loss of form towards the end of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Johan Djourou admits last season was difficult for the team but hopes to repay the club's fans with improved performances next year. ''It was difficult because we were playing for so many trophies at the same time and we were so close to getting one,'' he said. ''Last season, I didn't play a game and to play so many games and have a good season, I was happy. ''Obviously, now we want to do better as a team and as individuals to get something. I think that the fans deserve and the manager deserves something. We need to get better, get stronger, and really prepare well for next season.''
