Manchester United Have Announced Ticket Prices for The 2011/2012 Season.

The cost of a season ticket at Old Trafford will rise by £1 a match to cover the Government's 2.5 per cent increase in VAT, while a new price band has been introduced for 16 and 17-year-olds that saves fans in this bracket up to 60 per cent.

Following suggestions from the Fans' Forum, the club is easing the transition of 16-year-olds to the full adult price. These tickets will now be charged at the same rate as senior tickets and capped at £20.

The price of juniors (£10) and the cap for seniors (£20) remain at 2006/07 prices.

The prices of tickets per match in 2011/12 will be:

Adult: £28-£50
Senior: Half price, capped at £20
16-17 Half price, capped at £20
Junior: £10

"The rise in prices for next season covers the increased cost of VAT we have to pay to the Government," said chief executive David Gill. "We have maintained a good range of prices for supporters, which we believe offer excellent value for money.

"The new 16 to 17-year-old pay band is a vindication of the Fans' Forum as a way of providing valuable feedback from match-going fans. The board is sure this will prove a popular way for young adults to continue their support for the team."
