Lindegaard Could Miss Rest of Season

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard is set to miss the title run-in after suffering an injury setback.

Lindegaard, 27, has been out of action since January after damaging ankle ligaments in a training session.

United expected the Dane to be missing for a month, but his return to fitness has been slow progress and his comeback is now firmly on hold while he works with the physios to improve the strength in his ankle.

There is no time frame on Lindegaard's rehabilitation and, with David De Gea coming into form after a shaky start to his United career, Sir Alex Ferguson is unlikely to rush back the man that joined from Norwegian side Aalesunds in January 2011.
