Berbatov Will Quit Man Utd - agent

Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is set to leave Manchester United at the end of the season, according to his agent Emil Danchev.

Berbatov, 31, has grown tired of life on the sidelines at Old Trafford and, despite the club taking up the option of a one-year extension to his contract, will now move on.

"I had three meetings with (United manager) Alex Ferguson," Danchev told Bulgarian media. "We should accept that he'll try to build a team for the next three or four years and Berbatov will not be part of this team.

"Ferguson wants to change the playing style, to implement more speed. I was pleased with United's position as they said they'll not oppose Berbatov's move in the summer."

Berbatov joined United from Tottenham Hotspur in 2008 and was joint-top scorer in the Premier League last season, but has fallen behind the likes of Danny Welbeck, Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez this campaign.

"Dimitar will most probably leave England but he doesn't want to move to the U.S., Japan, United Arab Emirates or championships like these," said Danchev.

A return to Bayer Leverkusen has been mooted, while big-spending PSG are also believed to be interested in his services.
