Former England striker Michael Owen today announced that he will retire from professional football as soon as this season ends.
"I think it's time for my curtain on my career," said the 33-year-old in his personal website.
Owen made his first appearance with Liverpool at the age of 17 years and used to play for Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United and now with Stoke City.
European player in 2001, has 89 mark for England, scoring 40 goals, but his career began to crash, due to his injury-plagued.
